Impressions are taken of your mouth and, if present, the remaining teeth. The position in which the jaws naturally meet, the position of the lips and tooth length are carefully recorded. The denture is then set up in a waxed based material so that they may be checked in position. At this point there is an opportunity to move, change the length or colour of the teeth before final fabrication. The denture base can be made in hi-impact acrylic or polycarbonate. Teeth may be formed in acrylic, glass composite materials or porcelain. Dentures can be placed on the same visit as the extractions. The denture teeth can be modified simulate stained fillings, fine cracks or gold inlays. The gums can be given the appearance of natural tissue. Dentures normally take about five visits and the fees start from £950 for a full upper and lower set. After the extensive examination and discussion an accurate fee estimate will be provided depending on your requirements. |
